Are bike disc brake pads supposed to be of equal thickness?
I just recently got a new bike (in the mail!), and I assembled it myself, and it came with disc brakes. However, the rotor scratches against the brake pads. I took it apart, and see that the two brake pads are of DIFFERENT thickness, and so it can't align
To my knowledge, pads should be equal thickness when they're new. If adjustment instructions aren't included with the bike, you should be able to look them up online by searching the manufacturer and model of the brakes.
