I have a 1997 chrysler concord lxi. It would not start. Changed clogged fuel filter still wont start. Why?

The old fuel filter we took off was totally clogged. Car still won't start. It turns over fine and tried to start one time when we sprayed starter fluid in it but we can't get it going.

check the fuel pump. if it ran for a while with a severely clogged filter it may be worn out
