when i take the radiator cap off of the radiator there is this red gunky build up inside of the radiator. its causing my car to run hotter than normal. it doesnt over heat if im moving but when i stop the temp starts to rise. i changed the thermostat
The red gunk is the remaining dexcool residue. It can be flushed out and that is what is needed, be sure to back flush the heater core as well as they have been known to clog easily but do clean up with a reverse flow of clean water. After you clean up
