I am trying to fix my MPV, and I think the water is flowing backwards, the top hoses are cold when the bottom hoses are screaming hot. I have replaced the thermostat and the radiator already. Is it possible for a water pump to run backwards??

17/365 - Well today was a bit trying. My house for next year fell through, so we're quickly scrabbling around to find another one ASAP, we have a viewing one really close to campus at lunch tomorrow. As long as there is nothing fundamentaly wrong with it we'll probably take it on the spot.
