What is the best oil filter for your car and lawn more and how do you find them?

Like I could not find an oil filter for my car at wal-mart. For my riding mower ( John Deere), I could fit lager filter that fits, but when it comes to brand or type of oil filter, I have no idea what is the best kind and where is the best place to get.

It also depends on what car you have (Sport - 4WD).
I use in general Castrol oils, they are good.
